Naturally people care about this subject, that's why we have a thread dedicated to it. I know it's annoying when you don't get a response right away but please do observe the forum rules regarding double posts. I can't believe I've been out of the loop so much this week that I missed all this new info! I've been over at the Technodrome absorbing all this, and I must say that my interest has spiked. I had never expected so much info so early, but hey, who complains about an early Christmas? SO glad to hear that the show is taking a series long approach to the story rather than being one of the typical episodic NickToons. It sounds like Nick is taking their investment in the TMNT very seriously so that can only help the quality of the product they put out.

I apologize about my attitude, please forgive me, and as a gift here are more useful info: amato yoshi was forced to leave japan and his family(yes he has a wife and a daughter) because of oroku saki. donatello has a crush on april the kraang organization is beeing ruled by the shredder who plans to make his foot army completely of mutants (the people that is kidnapped by kraang) we are not sure if shredder already have his human army but we supose that if so, they will be robots in a nerby future, and that why the turtles have cutting weapons!
MORE INFO WILL BE ADDED WHEN THE TIME COMES!

Wow, nice info! So there's an explanation to why they have bladed weapons later? Ahh, the anime influence over the TMNT. But the GOOD influence that is. It gets weird when Mikey or Donnie slice robots in half with their blunt weapons. Also Hamato Yoshi having wife and daughter reeks character development in the future.

I honestly prefer Nick over Disney, I'll say that much. But I prefer Cartoon Network over Nick.
...Sometimes.
Anywho, every station has its faults. Every station has its downs and ups. I havnt watched Nick in a long time, so I cant really comment on this. But yeah. I'm a tad worried myself. Mainly because its just someone else designing the show. Every time something changes hands, you never know how its gonna turn out.
...Or something to that effect.

From what I've read, Nick seems to be taking the TMNT very seriously, this is their chance to reach a demographic that their current shows don't. Hopefully they'll prove that CN isn't the only station on that can produce successul action cartoons anymore.
I like some of CN's shows like the Clone Wars and Symbionic Titan (RIP), but you need variety to keep competition up and creative minds pushing the entertainment envelope, otherwise things get kind of stagnant and boring...

I'm sorry to say, but I'm already turned off by the fact they changed Don's and Mikey's weapons. Sure, it makes more sense as they tend to "cut" with their blunt weapons, but it's the same as changing Mario's Super Mushrooms into Super Beets. It just changes the overall vibe you're used to.
I know Nick owns the Turtles now, but the fact that they'd do this makes me lose hope and consider Turtles Forever to be their last hoorah.

Mikey uses kama now. (Like nunchaku, but they have scythes at the end.) Don uses...I can't remember what the weapon is called, but his weapon is like a bo staff, but instead has a spear at the end.

As like as Mikey's weapon still resembles a nunchuck, I'm okay with it.
