Now, see, that's just wrong on their part. Especially since the Wii version is listed correctly as a fighting game. It's only the PS2 version that's indicated as a beat-'em-up, and there is no way each version is a different genre, when they play exactly the same.

Anyway, my favorite TMNT beat-'em-up is probably Turtles in Time Reshelled, followed closely by the GBA TMNT (movie) game and Battle for the City. lol, so I'm not the only one that found the GBA movie game enjoyable.

lol, so I'm not the only one that found the GBA movie game enjoyable. Wait, there's folks that don't? It's generally considered a good game. The only real gripe I have is that it's short. I'd like to think that Ubisoft used this as practice for the eventual Scott Pilgrim game they released, as the basis (a River City Ransom-esque) beat-'em-up) is very similar.

1.- Turtles in Time (Snes) 2.- Hyperstone Heist (Genesis) 3.- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Arcade) 2:The Arcade Game (NES) 4.- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 (Nes) ((if this counts)) 5.- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: The Manhattan Project 6.- TMNT Smash Up! (Wii) 7.- TMNT Mutant Melee 8.- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 (Game Boy) 9.- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 (Game Boy) 10.- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (Game Boy) 11.-Turtles in Time Reshelled 12.- TMNT Arcade Attack (DS) 13.- TMNT (any version)
(if the fighting games counted, then Tournament Fighters NES would go between 10 and 11. SNES between 6-7, and Genesis between 3-4).

Now that I've played the GBA games, I think the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, based on the 2k3 TV show, is REALLY REALLY good! It's like beat em up and platformer combined. I LOVE it. It's easily my new favorite.
I also played the movie based GBA game and it's one of the best TMNT b'e'ups I've played.
