Let's face it, Smash Up isn't that popular anymore, and we just seem to be talking about other stuff.
Is there anything we can do to make this site greater?

I agree. As you guys know, I'm always open to suggestion so if anyone has any brilliant ideas don't be shy about sharing them.

Well, for one, a Shoutbox on the homepage would be nice of course. I've found them to be very useful, and its easier to run into people than going to another page where you have a chat that uses flash.

I do think a shout box will be great and I think the dojo could do my Club GamePop idea.

we could do tourneys in other games instead of just SU... Good idea. Maybe it could be a sub category under Wi-Fi Lounge.

we could do tourneys in other games instead of just SU... This! Simply because, well... It's gotten boring to me, too. And I would like to remove the (seemingly) restriction on only DS/Wii games. Some of us have PS3's, computers, and the such and would like to play games with you guys on them. (HINT!)

Oh, I know of a handful of free games that are pretty fun. Grand Chase, an online side-scrolling beat-'em-up game. (dont judge by the graphics!) Dungeon Fighter Online, which is another online side-scrolling beat-'em-up game. Dungeons and Dragons Online (I even have a guild on there. Yay!) Lost Saga, a pure PVP fighter, but you can be on teams and such. Rumble Fighter, which is another pure PVP fighter. Only reason I stopped playing RF is cause everyone on there is, well... Cheap. But it's fun as heck if you play with friends that dont run up behind you and push you off the arena constantly. All of them are games you have to download, but they're not that big except for DDO. But DDO is a pretty big game. But yeah. Those are games I play every now and then. And they're all fun as heck with friends. And we could even try out other games, too. And it doesnt exactly need to be free games.

I beg your pardon, Scuffy, there will be no thwapping! You don't EVER have to worry about me running off and leaving you guys high and dry. I consider everyone here to be close personal friends and I'd never do anything so uncool. Sorry I kind of went MIA this weekend and early into this week, I got my copies of "Lost Skeleton Returns Again" and "Dark and Stormy Night" last Friday, I've been waiting YEARS for these, and I've been spoiling myself with marathon viewings and laughing my head off, check them out! And now to business... WOAH, major brainstorming, maybe I should go away more often. OK I was just kidding, don't throw stuff! I'm seeing lots more love for the ShoutBox here, you guys will be happy to know that we will be implementing that very soon. It looks like you guys are having a lot of the same ideas I've been throwing around. I'm strongly considering condensing the entire "Smash-Up" section into a smaller, more compressed area because as it has been said, it just isn't getting the kind of attention it used to. And while condensing the Smash-Up section, I think we should also expand the other areas of the forum, and you guys seem to think that as well. While there have never been any restrictions on what systems we can join up on for online play, I can see why folks might think it's a Wii exclusive thing... We play a lot of Wii here! To that end, we'll be getting new online play categories for all the major systems to simplify the process and open up our "WiFi" section to reflect that we truly have no restrictions in that respect. There will also be a tentatively titled "Other" section where we can start playing any other games that don't fit into the console or forum game categories. And I LOVE the tournaments for other games besides Smash-Up idea, that is for sure going to happen because as soon as I can start playing online again I'm going to get in on that in a BIG way. I see lots of fun opportunities there. And finally, CTK hit the nail on the head. Outside contact. We need more of it, and in a new way. Now that we're moving away from "Smash-Up" we need to present ourselves not as a game specific forum, but as a general gaming forum where anything and everything is up for discussion, online play, whatever. We've got the coolest guys to play with, the most friendly to chat with, everything we love about the Dojo. Yes we have Smash-Up, but no longer will it dominate our forum. If there are no objections, these changes will likely start to take effect a little later this week. I'm excited about the changes to come, the Turtle Dojo is on the brink of a new era of awesomeness. And keep up the good ideas, you guys are on a roll!

Awesome Dess. Good to hear. Well, instead of like an "other" section, you could have something like this: Wi-fi(for Wii and DS) XBOX Live(for 360) PSN(for PS3) PC Online Gaming(for PC games and MMOs of that sort) And the Video Games section should stay of course for general discussion. I'd suggest a Sonic area, as I could advertise this site on the Sega Forums if it did, but then again, I don't think that its really necessary. I don't really have many ideas at the moment, but I'll get to you if I think of any.

Yeah, DDD, that's what I meant, a separate section for each console and then an "Other" section for anything else that doesn't fall into one of the console sections.
I had considered opening a "Sonic" specific section of the site for you to rule over, but then it would look like I was playing favorites. ;D
