The new series of comics have been out for a few months now, with issue #7 appearing on the 22nd of February in the USA. I've been collecting them, but I actually haven't had a chance to read any issue except for the first issue. I picked up another issue that I have read, but actually had never found in any comic stores until recently. I'm pretty excited to have it.
Anyway, I wanted to get some discussion going on the new comics. Is anyone else collecting them? Also, the Michelangelo and Raphael mini-series are out. Has anyone had an opportunity to read them? Let's get some discussions going!
P.S.- Here's the picture!

In the comics, they all wore red. Not just Raphael.

Yeah. Donatello's weapon was pretty nice in this story.
The new version of the Turtles' story is very interesting. Not sure how to black out text so...
SPOILER ALERT:
Basically, the Turtles and Splinter have been reincarnated from the past. Homato Yoshi/Splinter witnessed the death of his four sons, and prayed to Buddha. He awoke after his own death to find himself a rat and the four turtles with him. Pretty interesting.

I've been collecting! Haven't read the micros, but the main comic is truly awesome so far. (SPOILERS FROM HERE ON OUT FOLKS! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW, DON'T READ THIS THREAD!!!) The turtles new origin is RADICALLY different from all previous versions but certainly has me interested. Things will get even so much more interesting when Mr. Oroku Saki shows up... Hobb is an interesting new villain, I like his design. And I am absolutly dying to know more about the mysterious General Krang. As an Utrom backer I'm naturally drawn to such things.

I haven't had a chance to read the Micro-Series either, but I do plan on collecting the issues when I have enough money saved up.
SPOILERS:
I'm hoping that Krang will be an Utrom. I actually thought about something you said, I believe. People were upset that Krang didn't make it into Smash-Up, though an Utrom did. I believe you said, "Let's just say his name is Krang." lol.
The issues are getting interesting. Which cover art do you have for the issues? I'll post a pic of my comics soon, so we can compare. I'm disappointed in the cover of one of my issues, but I can't do much about it now. ;D

SPOILER TALK AHEAD!! Got #7 this week and WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Things have kicked into overdrive on the awesome meter, I was floored by the first line: "The Planet Neutrino." Anyone who knows anything about the original cartoon knows what that is about, and things got even better with the introductions of Tragg and Granitor, and then the revelation that General Krang is indeed THE Krang that we all know and love to hate! His new robo bod reeks of excelence and could even give our beloved Utrominator suits a run for their money. Mikey had some fun scenes in this, and then DUM DUM DUM, OLD HOB leads a mouser hoard against the Turtles lair?!! I'm hooked to this series!

Finally was able to read #7. It was great. Also, I picked up all of the micro-series thus far (Raph, Mikey, and Don). I was disappointed in the artwork for Mikey's, but I loved Don's illustration. Plus, bring another "Kirby" to remember the original Don one-shot(Jack Kirby mentioned) made me smile. Anyway, I'm ready for the next in the series, Leonardo. Plus, I'm ready for issue #8![/b]

Haven't had the micros at my shop, though I would like to peek in 'em one of these days. What do you guys think of Old Hob? We don't know a whole lot about him, except that he's pretty mean and has a grudge againsts Splinter, but I think he has an interesting design and could develop into a cool characer as the story progresses. #8 is out next week, here's hoping more backstory is revealed. AH, and here is a look at my covers:

The Leo microseries is my favorite micro so far, I love the artwork in that one. Once you read stuff if you want to discuss I'll be here.

I love the artwork in the Leonardo as well, along with Donatello's artwork. SPOILERS FROM HERE FORWARD!!!!
Who is the figure who threw Leonardo into the dumpster? It is very odd to see Leonardo get manhandled in that fashion, but then for a member of the Foot to let him escape so easily.
