2nd installment of the Sonic 4 series is on its way in May!
Yes, Episode 1 was pretty bad, but I still find myself playing it now and then. This one fixing things though, like momentum, and the uncurling has been removed.
Tails is playable now too, but unfortunately, like the continuing trend of most multiplayer games, like Donkey Kong Country Returns and New Super Mario Bros. Wii, he's only playable when doing co-op. Neither characters can be played alone either.
This game does feature online co-op to make up for that though, so you'll still find yourself playing as Tails even when you don't have a friend next to you to play it with!
Overall, I can tell things have vastly improved.

Could be cool, I love old school Sonic.

Even though the level design doesn't look all that great (compared to even Episode I) I might get this game if it drops to $5 at some point, just like I waited for Bionic Commando Rearmed 2. This is the only game I'm kinda looking forward to this year, so if I get really bored, I would consider getting it, but again, depends on the price. I still get loads of playtime from Episode I (with all its faults). There are other awesome games that I have set my sights on, like the HD rerelease of the Jak & Daxter trilogy, or the Rayman trilogy. A platformer nut like me won't be bored this year, that's for sure.

I am just glad that Tails is back in the game. I really want to get this game, but I doubt that I will right when it comes out. I'll have to wait to see more gameplay footage.

Awesome looking stage, and...Episode Metal? I'm sold.
From the info given about it, the level designs of the Episode 1 stages have been tweaked to work with Metal Sonic and what he can do(which hasn't been said yet). It appears as well that Episode 2 physics will be present as well, which would be a big plus, but its not confirmed.
May 15th and May 16th are the release dates. Can't wait!

No Wii release? Now I'm bummed.

Game wouldn't be able to fit the WiiWare size limit, supposedly. But it seems like a Wii U release in the future could happen.

Makes sense, but I still don't like it.
