lol I know, I'm saying this and he's my main. But you've all seen how much of a beast Mikey is. Constant stunning for opponents, and is crazy fast. I'm just wondering if he's really fair, and if I do future matches with any of you if I should use/not use him. Don't want to ruin anyone's fun. Tell me what you think.

Mikey most definitely is not ban worthy. He's not even that cheap compared to some other characters.
If you implement the accelerated stun escape, you'll soon realize that stun is fairly useless as it doesn't last long enough. In fact, the only stunning move he has that has guaranteed followups is his Nair and 8B, everything else (including AAA and AAB) does not grant Mikey another hit (you can block a jab or jump to avoid a grab). Granted, most of them put you in a 50/50 sort of situation where you need to correctly guess what he'll do to escape, but that's no worse than when other characters put you in tech chase situations.
If you guys keep reading up on the stuff I post, you'll realize that Mikey is good but actually very fair compared to the rest of the cast.

You must not've battled MY Mikey yet. Haha, tis true. However, I have seen your Mikey before and I've done a lot of testing with Mikey as he was one of the characters that I felt had a lot of untapped potential. I think that once I start getting up all my information about this game and what other characters have to offer, you'll start seeing things my way. With that being said though, I definitely would like your input when I get around to talking about Michelangelo.

Well, I don't really know how to explain it...its something that really needs to be seen in battle. I'd face you right now, but I'm kinda busy at the moment. If you're still coming around here for awhile, then we could probably have a match. But be warned, its been FOREVER since I played this game.

Ban Mikey? Nah. He's not bannable. Just like Leo isnt bannable. Yes, Mikey his a beast. Yes, Leo is a beast too (Remember Cyber, anyone?)
But they -can- be fought, and they -can- be beaten. Thus, no, they shouldnt be banned.
Bannable characters, to me, are the ones that can just beat you down, no matter what. Even if you're a pro, and the other player just picked up the controller for the first time.

Ooh...don't remind of Cyber's beasty Leo. *shudders*
Its true, Mikey can be beat if you learn how to protect against his attacks. Guarding is a good option(as always, but especially good against Mikey), and preparing to guard break Mikey too. This kind of stuff is why Cyber could whoop me so much. But then again, he's a beast at any video game he plays(and thats saying a lot, seeing how he's a bigtime member at gameanyone.com, and is always playing games at the request of other people).

What are these unescapable stuns somebody mentioned? don't you usually get the teleport option when you get whacked by Mike too many times?

What are these unescapable stuns somebody mentioned? don't you usually get the teleport option when you get whacked by Mike too many times? I'd just like to point out that based on my research, inescapable stun infinites are not possible. If you correctly defend yourself (accelerated stun escape), it is not possible to infinitely combo Mikey's moves that stun (there just isn't enough frame advantage). The only exception that I can think of is the possibility of a Nair > Nair > Nair infinite (using the fastfall lag cancel) that I haven't explored. However, judging by how long Mikey's Nair lasts, I'm fairly sceptical of this as well.

That's what I thought. I've even tired anticipating a stun escape and followed up with an air attack, but stun escape has invincibility frames when the opponent is reappearing. Though I'm sure Mikey players will find a way around this.
Wouldn't mind playing DDD's Mikey.

Though I'm sure Mikey players will find a way around this. Wouldn't mind playing DDD's Mikey. I believe you're referring to the technique where you escape from stun when you turn yellow. I believe it is possible to land a guaranteed hit if you force your opponent to utilize this game mechanic (because they can't do anything while they're invincible, so unless air dodges are invincible from frame 1, they can be hit). I'm referring to a technique that actually makes you recover from stunning moves faster: www.turtledojo.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=strategy&action=display&thread=75This makes it impossible for Mikey to combo another stun inducing move after connecting with one (the only exception being Nair because you can hit right before you land and cancel all the remaining execution and ending lag) because there isn't enough guaranteed frame advantage.
