Alright new "Greatest Games" thread, this time we're discussing all time favorites from the Sega Genesis, one of my first gaming platforms. For me, there are three must plays: 1. "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" - The first Sonic game I ever played is still my favorite of the series, and is the game I compare all other Sonics to. A classic, legendary game. 2. "TMNT: Hyperstone Heist" - One of the best TMNT games of all time. I know it plays very similar to "Turtles in Time", but I've always preferred this one for some reason. Great times playing through this with my little brother gives it extra points, we still pull it out every once in a while. 3. "WWF Royal Rumble" - Probably an unusual sounding choice, but I found this one at a video rental store around the time of the 90's WCW wrestling craze. It wasn't a WCW game, but it had the wrestlers I loved in it so my family would rent it every other weekend before we found a copy at ToysRUs. Again, great memories, and the MIDI entrance themes are fun. Now, what are your favorites of the Sega Genesis?

1. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles: The Sonic & Knuckles + Sonic the hedgehog 3 lock-on is clearly one of the best for the Sega Genesis. Merging two great games, it becomes an awesome Sonic the Hedgehog experience. 2. Sonic the Hedgehog 2: This game is incredibly special to me, as it marked the beginning of my life as a gamer. 3. Vectorman: The side-scrolling shooter platformer game that any Genesis fan would love. The music in this game is also incredible. 4. Sonic the Hedgehog: The first Sonic the Hedgehog cleary has to be listed in my favorites, as it is what started the awesome Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. 5. The Lion King: One of my favorite movies of all time turned into a really cool video game. 6. Megaman Wily Wars: This awesome game features the first 3 Megaman games, but remade with Genesis-like graphics and music. Also has a "Wily Tower" mode with 3 all new bosses and Tower, and you're able to have 8 weapons to choose from ALL the bosses from Megaman 1-3 as well as 3 items from all the Megaman games(i.e. Rush Jet). Simply awesome.

I'm ashamed at you guys. No mention of Earthworm Jim, Streets of Rage series, Toejam and Earl, Comix Zone, or Gunstar Heroes? Although King saying Vectorman gave me an face. Also it doesn't matter which version you play of it, but Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Go play these games. Now. Right this minute.

Though I played the SNES version of Earthworm Jim. I've also played Rocketknight Adventures. Oh, and let's not forget the famous Zero Wing. "All your Base are belong to us!" xD

Earthworm Jim, Comix Zone, and Gunstar Heroes were great games. Though I admit, Comix Zone was quite tough, lol.
Anyways, shun me if you like. But I didnt really care for Streets of Rage. For that style of game, I think Final Fight was better. But that wasnt for the Genesis...
Was it?
