Alright, please tell me we've got a few Halo fans here. Anyone here have this game? Feel free to add me. Also, nice to be back after a long absence.

ohmahgawd Phantom you have returned....(at least I think you have) Unfortunately I don't have an xbawks, and judging by the Live board here, no one apparently does but you.

i dont have the game but i occasionaly (however the heck u spell it) play it at my friends house. cant w8 to get this game on my xbox.....if i get one If I were you, vid, I'd get my hands on either the new 250 GB Xbox 360 Slim model or the Limited Edition Halo Reach 250 GB Xbox 360 slim model. The 250 GB Xbox 360 Slim model is about $300.00 and comes with: * 802.11n Wi-Fi Built-in For A Faster And Easier Connection * Internal, Removable 250GB Hard Drive * Kinect Ready * Xbox 360 Black Wireless Controller Included The Limited Edition Halo Reach 250 GB Xbox 360 slim model is about $400.00 and comes with: * Halo - Reach game - Halo - Reach is the culmination of 10 years of award winning Halo games that have raised expectations for what can be achieved in a video game. * Two Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers - This award-winning, high performance wireless controller is custom designed to match the console, and features a range of up to 30 feet and a battery life of up to 30 hours on two AA batteries. * 250GB Hard Drive - The internal, removable 250GB hard drive offers plenty of space to save games, HD TV and movies, music and more. * Xbox 360 Headset (black) - Chat with friends on Xbox LIVE, or team up and jump in with multiplayer game play. Built-in Wi-Fi - The new Xbox 360 is the only console with 802.11n Wi-Fi built-in for a faster and easier connection to Xbox LIVE. * More ports - Connect more accessories and storage solutions with added USB ports. Now with a total of 5, (3 back/2 front) you'll find more places to plug and play. Added integrated optical audio out port for an easier connection to the booming What's In The Box? Both models run much quitter than the original models and they are not as prone to overheating like the older consoles so long as you keep it in an open area where it can disperse its hot air. Also, since both models have a built in wireless, you don't need to buy the wireless device (about $100.00) that the older models have to in order to connect to Xbox LIVE. Honestly, either of those choices would be great.

Wouldn't this topic go to the xbox live board? Well, technically speaking, I also intended to talk about the game on this thread, but since barely anyone here has the game, it seems I'd do a better job just talking about the game to myself until some people on here actually get it. Until then, I'll just keep offering advice. Besides, the Xbox Live thread is for setting up matches. That's not necessarily my intention with this thread.

I liked the first Halo. Stopped after the disappointment Halo 2 brought (to me, anyways). But I may give it another shot.
...Of course, IF I get an XBox. Also, welcome back Phantom ^^

The only ones I've played was 1 and 3. I never considered Halo to be OMGTEHBESTGAEMEVER material, but it's very polished for what it is, being a good FPS series.

Wouldn't this topic go to the xbox live board? No, since this is also a discussion thread. Even moreso as Phantom said since no one here seems to have Reach. If I had a 360 Phantom, I'd get this game. My bro has one, and he'd get Reach, and I'd give you his gamertag and I'd still be able to play with you, but his 360 isn't working, so its won't be able to happen. Back when it was working though I tried out the Beta onilne, and I loved it. Halo 3 style, but a lot more strategy involved and seems even more competitive. Oh, and nice to see you back here. Always great to see ya. Oh, and remember way back in May when we had that conversation on Sonic Speed when I was over at Disneyland, and you said that I should try out Space Mountain(even though I don't like roller coasters)? Well, I tried it, and it was awesome! Indeed its a Coaster, but I kinda like the feeling of not knowing where your going. A ride like California Screamin' is one I just can't go on because I know what'll happen. Anyways, thanks for encouraging me to try it out! Wouldn't of gone on it if it wasn't for you.

Good seeing you too, Dedede. Nice to hear you gave Space Mountain a try. I knew you'd like it. Have you and your brother considered upgrading to the newer model for the 360? I'm finding my new limited edition Reach console to be much more reliable, and quitter, than my old system; not to mention that 250 GB hard drive is amazing since storage was becoming an issue on my older model, and with built in wireless I no longer need that wireless hook up for my old 360. You can also get a transfer cable to transfer all your data frm your old 360 hard drive to the new one. Trust me, now is a fine time to upgrade to the new model, whether it's the glossy black slim model or the limited edition reach model. I'd suggest giving it some thought. Yes, Scruff, I'm back, and glad to see you still hang out here too. As for the game itself, I've been enjoying it for the past few weeks. The campaign is put together rather nicely (could've been longer IMO), matchmaking isn't too bad, and I'm really enjoying firefight. I'd have to say that the music is some of the best I've heard in the Halo series, and this is coming from a guy who's heard it all. For the heck of it, I'll just put down a sample of what I mean;

Why does that music remind of Jet Force Gemini...? Its so awesome. That's quite a bit of money Phantom...so that'd be awhile. 'Sides, his XBOX Live is about to expire, so even if he got it fixed today, there wouldn't be that much time to hang out on Reach. And a brand new 360 with XBOX Live and getting Halo Reach is quite a bit of money. :/ As for myself, I'm saving up for a 3DS right now. I do really want to play with ya though.

I suppose until then, I'll just add one last track from Halo Reach.

Great news Phantom!
My bro has found a way to fix his 360, so he's gonna try his best to do so. If he succeeds, he can purchase XBOX Live again and then get Halo Reach for Christmas.
Long wait, I know...sorry, but he does have Halo 3, and we both rock at it. So if you're up to it, we could always play that in the meantime if this all goes well.
