Not sure if anyone else here is into wrestling or not, but I saw this game and I'm certain that I'll be getting it. I used to watch wrestling ALL the time when I was in middle school, but then I got busy with other things and kind of forgot about how entertaining it can be... Until about a year ago when I started watching TNA and have slowly started tuning back in to WWE, too... Needless to say I've started craving a good wrestling game lately, but haven't been able to find one that interests me, until now. I haven't played a wrestling game in years, but this new game so far has the best roster I've ever seen in a wrestling game, and they haven't revealed the half of it! Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, The Rock, Rey Mysterio, John Cena, and Big Show are just a few of the headliners. I remember wrestling games being kind of slow and dull, but from the vids I've seen of this it's taking a more fast paced arcade approach to the sport, which is something I really like and it just looks like a blast to play! Check it out and let me know what you think. Oh, I've got to warn you, Hollywood Hogan and I are gonna be kicking butt and taking names come April! "Whatcha' gonna do when Desslok runs wild on YOU?!!!!" www.wweallstars.comAlso, you've got to check out this hilarious ad for the game featuring the one and only Macho Man Randy Savage, "Ooooh YEAH!"

Yes, full roster reveal next week. I'm still trying to figure out who's in the shadows. I'm pretty sure I see Undertaker and Austin, maybe the Miz, the rest I have no idea. CTK, I agree with you, Cena is annoying. When the Rock came on Monday and blasted him and his gimmicks I was hard pressed not to start cheering and wake up everyone in the house. If nothing else, the Rock's reappearance in WWE should mix things up. As for TNA, I agree that Orlando gets a bit old after a while, but I heard they're shooting iMPACT! in Fayetteville next week for the big March 3rd show. I'm excited to see how different the show feels with a fresh audience. Maybe I should start a wrestling thread somewhere? ;D

It stinks that Wii always gets shafted when it comes to stuff like this... we should get some sort of exclusive, too ya know! But anyway, I love the roster, deffinately the best I've ever seen in a video game. Certainly there are a few missing I would have liked, but that's what "Create a Wrestler" is for. Although I would have liked it if Ric Flair could have been in. Flair is the most hilarious mess of a man I've ever seen. "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Heck yeah, Undertaker!
I know almost nothing of wrestling. But when I watched/played it, he was my favorite.

Been playing this the last week and a half, if you've been wondering about it I can personaly guarantee that if you've ever been into wrestling on any level, this game will entertain you. Exhibition lets you play 1 on 1, Tornado Tag, Cage, Elmination, and Extreme Rules in various configurations. "Path of Champions" has you run a gauntlet of WWE Legends or Superstars in one of three stories. One has you in the running to take on Undertaker at Summerslam, in another you're gunning to grab the championship away from Randy Orton, and in the third you must take out D-Generation X to become #1 tag team. Fun mode complimented by great trash talk between matches from your nemesis. "Fantasy Warfare" pits a Legend against a Superstar of similar skill to see who's the best of all time. The real jewel of this mode is the PPV style video packages that build up the rivalry before the bell sounds. An excellent edition! There's also a "Create a Superstar" mode that lets you make your own custom wrestlers (or do like I do and get the wrestlers I wanted in the game but couldn't be put in...). If you like faster paced arcade style games, especially in the fighting genre, this one is well worth a try. I give it 4 out of a possible 5 haunted urns. "oooOOOOOOoooooo YESSSSSSSS!"

I would give it more a 3.5 out of 5, and the Wii version a 3 (I shockingly played all 3 versions all within the week, yay connections lol) Pros: -Excellent roster choices -Easy pick up and play controls -Great promos in Fantasy Warfare mode, and a good story in Path of Champions -The flying specials are pretty awesome to view -Wii version: GC/CC supported (Classic controller is the best one for this styled engine) -Good CAW system (thank god, this was one of the things that I heavily observe in wrestling games)
Cons: -Could use more depth in it's engine (I know it's an arcade styled game, but still, the matches become repetitive too quickly) -Wii version: Horrible in ring sound effects, no full widescreen support, no DLC or online (expected)
In the end yeah, it's a blast to play, but I can see this game eventually losing it's luster cause after a while, the matches felt like they were repeating as everyone could easily pull off the same similar moves and spamming specials. I'm all up for a sequel if they decide to fix the depth, but if they don't, at least it's MUCH better to play than Legends of Wrestlemania. So either rent it to see if it fits your taste, or wait till it goes down in price.

I have the Wii version so I totally agree with you about the in ring sound effects. They sound like they were pulled directly from the Sega Genesis game "WWF Royal Rumble." When I first started playing I was pretty shocked and disappointed by that, but to be honest, I've gotten into the game so much that I don't even really notice it now.
The fighting system seems pretty simplistic at first, but the longer I play the more depth I find in it. It helps A LOT to look up some tips online because the instruction guide and the in game prompts do not cover the controls nearly in depth enough to cover everything.
A really fun wrestling game, but as CTK noted there is plenty of room for improvement in sequels.
