Hey guys. I've come to the conclusion that I'm gonna stop smoking cigarettes. I've been smoking for about six years, off and on. I've quit numerous times, my record being an entire year back in 2010. Then I got a job and started up again, heh... But this time, I will quit for good. I would like backup, and any current smokers are welcome to quit with me! I've learned having someone else quit with you makes it alot easier. So yeah. Throwing a bad part of my life into the abyss. Wish me luck Off topic: I have started Replica's story. I'm feverishly typing away. Expect the first chapter within a few months

I'll support you too, Scruff. My dad quit dipping a while back and used some website for some help. I'll try and see if I can relocate the website. I believe it has smoking tips and forums for help, too. Maybe TMNT: SU will become a better stress reliever. Haha.

Fantastic Scruffy! Allow me to also sponsor this positive action in your life. Great to hear you'll be swapping those smokes for some good old fashioned creative writing. I anxiously await your first chapter Mr. Hyphen.

Thanks guys ^^ It really means alot to me. In fact I'm smoking my last one as I type this. And my roomie is quitting with me. I told him if he smokes around me, I'm snatching his cigarette away and crushing it in my hand. Even if its lit. I've done it before when me and my mom quit together... Heck. I was REALLY bad with her. She just wouldnt stop smoking one day. So I grabbed her pack, opened it up, poured water in, tore it in half (the box and all; wet paper is easy to tear ), and set it on her computer desk. After that, she knew I was playing hardball Theres several reasons why I want to quit though. 1. MONEY. Jeebus cigarettes cost more than gas... >.> 2. My health. 3. My girlfriend/family/friends' health. 4. To prove to myself I actually have the willpower to say no. 5. The most important one though... I have a newborn niece. Was literally born Tuesday. Gonna see her for the first time Friday. I dont want her getting secondhand smoke. And I certainly dont want her to think "smoking is cool and fun and wont kill me cause Uncle does it and he's awesome and totally alive!" Sure being a few days old she wont say that NOW but... I dont want her to ever think smoking is cool or anything like that. Cause, sure, it makes me look cool. But I stink, my bedroom stinks, and I may just very well lose my hair to kimo therapy. So in the long run I'll be frail, sick, and bald by the time I'm 40 with a stinky house. And that really wont get me into any of the cool cliques. Anywho, ranted. So yeah. My reasons. Just thought I'd share them with you. And Red, its awesome your dad quit :3 My manager actually quit smoking for his daughter. I respect that. But he went to chew too, heh... Thats one thing I'll never do. I hate it. But congrats for your dad (P.S. Lets pretend I threw in "FOR THE PLANET" somewhere in my list >.> )

Yeah, Dad quit dipping a while back. He had to use Red Hots, the candy, to help his cravings. But he said reaching the 100 day mark was the hardest thing, but then it was just gone from his system. I do miss the smell of Wintergreen, though...
Anywho, off-topic, but I am ready to read the Replica story. It sounds awesome.

Now past the third, and supposedly, hardest day. It was suprisingly easy for me. The first was the worst by far... I'm using chewing gum and nicotine lozenges. And keeping myself busy. If I'm busy and not craving nicotine, then I'm good, heh. Nicotine lozenges and games fill that for me easily The only tough part for me, really, is when my friends smoke around me. Makes me instantly want one. Especially at work... But my roomie is quitting with me. And has said he wont smoke around me anymore So yeah. Now I just gotta wait for all the tar and stuff to get outta me. Feeling better already, though. Albeit a bit tired, heh.

Pretty well ^^ I can breathe again! Been clean for over a week now. Man, I had forgotten what oxygen was like, lol. My roomie is having trouble quitting though. He keeps buying more cigarettes. At least he doesnt smoke around me though. He should do what I did. Take his ID out of his wallet so he cant buy anymore
