Hey guys! It's been a LOOOONG time.
I was thinking about this place and all of my dojo-ites the other day and started wondering you all might be up to these days. Have you moved on to new gaming endeavors, been working on some awesome projects, following anything new TMNT? Post here and maybe wayward members will stumble across this some day. I'll begin.
I've been pretty busy since the Dojo became a ghost town. I'm not able to play games the way I used to, but I'm still very much into TMNT. In fact I may be more into it now than I ever was what with new movies, tv shows, comics, etc. it's a great time to be a fan. My favorite TMNT property right now is IDW's TMNT series, and it's there that I've focused a lot of my time and energy. How you ask? Well I've undertaken the insane task of dubbing the comics with a full cast up through #50. It's a ton of work in my spare time, but I really enjoy it. It all started around this time last year when I had my first casting call: www.behindthevoiceactors.com/members/YamatoGuru/casting-call/Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtles-IDW-Comic-Series/
I received a HUGE response from people wanting to join the cast, and with subsequent casting calls I'd wager I had about 300 auditions for this thing. It was very encouraging. About August, we started recording and by the end of the year I had begun editing. A few last minute recasts pushed my premiere date back but finally, on March 10, I released TMNT #1:
It's received a lot of good feedback, so I'm very happy with how things are progressing. Since then I've been releasing a new episode every 2 weeks and will likely be doing so for the foreseeable future. Besides work on the series, in the time I've been gone I've really taken up voice acting as my number one hobby. In fact, I'm voicing Krang in TMNT.
Here's me at work:
And I've done voices not just for TMNT, but for numerous projects produced by many talented directors I've had chance to meet. You can find links to most everything I've been in on my personal YouTube page: link
So that's what I've been doing. How about you?
